Stormwater Management

Sewers and drainage systems are really put to the test during extreme rainfall events, especially during so-called 1:100 year storms, which in recent years have become more frequent. Using state-of-the-art modelling software integration, we are able to determine the location of segments of sewer lacking hydraulic capacity that are causing surcharge, and using XP-SWMM, MIKE URBAN and MIKE FLOOD software formulations, we are able to accurately simulate not only rainfall effects but the complete land phase of the hydrologic cycle, including snowmelt, evapotranspiration and groundwater saturation. We bring a focus on sustainable development solutions and have developed, designed and constructed stormwater Low Impact Development (LID) and Best Management Practices (BMP) measures for many of our projects.
