ISL Engineering and Land Services (ISL) is proud to be among Canada’s 30 most environmentally-conscious employers. It is the second time ISL has been on this list.

 The list of Canada’s “Green 30” organizations, based on employee perceptions about their record on environmental stewardship, was released today by Aon Hewitt. The list was developed based on employee responses to questions in the 2011 Best Small and Medium Employers in Canada survey.  Over 130,000 employees at more than 250 organizations were asked about their employer’s environmental practices.  ISL ranked within the top 30 companies whose employees have a positive perception of their efforts.

The journey to sustainable practice has just begun for ISL and we are dedicated to defining, learning and sharing sustainability ‘best practices' with our clients as we discover, develop and master them ourselves. We believe in the sustainability framework as described by The Natural Step Process and understand sustainability is not achieved quickly and then completed; but is a journey we are committed to take and share with our client-partners and suppliers.

We believe sustainability is not at the expense of budget, time or resources on any project, but should be considered a lens in which we look at all phases of any project or process.
