ISL Launches Compost/Waste Program

ISL Edmonton has launched one of the first successful corporate compost and recycling programs. In conjunction with Inglis Environmental, ISL now diverts over 70 per cent of its waste from the landfill.

The initiative launched through ISL's Sustainability Program and, in partnership with Inglis Environmental, divides the office's waste into three streams: Recycling, Compost and Garbage. Using separate containers, staff separate waste and Inglis Environmental delivers to the City of Edmonton's world-class waste management facilities.

In the program's first three months of operation, 70 per cent of ISL's total waste has been diverted to recycling or composting.
