Randy Heaps, CSLA, LEED AP
Chief Operations Officer

Randy's past experience as the Manager of ISL Edmonton with responsibility for human resources, administration, staffing and workplace environment for 140 people has given him the depth and breadth of experience to effectively manage all of ISL's day-to-day activities. A past Sustainability Coordinator at ISL, Randy has played a key role in providing sustainable design expertise on a range of ISL projects. Randy has been with ISL since 1998 and will maintain his current role of Senior Landscape Architect, with over 16 years of experience in all aspects of planning, assessing, conceptualizing and delivering landscape projects.

Deon H.J. Wilner, P.Eng., CCCA
Director

With over 20 years of experience as a project manager and senior engineer both in Canada and abroad, Deon has extensive experience in the planning, design, construction and post-construction requirements of major water and wastewater treatment projects. Deon joined ISL in 1998 as Manager of Environmental Infrastructure and has played a key role in delivering water system solutions to ISL clients. He is known as a technical and hands-on manager who clearly understands the complexities of designing and constructing large water and wastewater facilities. Deon's enthusiasm and unrelenting dedication to the success of ISL and its clients will be a great addition to the ISL Board of Directors.

Steven J. Melton, M.Eng., P.Eng.
Manager, Edmonton Office

With ISL since 1998 and with over 23 years of experience, Steve has been critical in the development of ISL's Professional Practice Management Plan and is responsible for overall quality management for all disciplines at ISL. Tuned in to the pulse of ISL Edmonton, Steve's enthusiasm to 'get it done' will be a considerable asset for his success in the new role. Steve will retain his position as General Manager of Roadway Engineering for ISL Edmonton, continuing to lead his team in the delivery of well-engineered roadways and transportation facilities.

Calvin T. McClary, P.Eng.
Manager, Calgary Office

Since starting in 2004 as the Manager of Transportation Engineering in ISL's Calgary office, Cal has been instrumental in proposing, planning, designing and constructing award-winning major transportation projects for ISL's clients in southern Alberta. With over 30 years of solid experience constructing infrastructure in many roles and all phases of a project, Cal's proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects and supervise technical and professional staff will ensure success in his expanded role. Cal will now lead the management of all ISL's disciplines in Calgary including Land Development, Municipal, Structural, Transportation and Water Resources engineering.
