ISL Honoured at 2011 CCE Awards

OTTAWA – ISL Engineering and Land Services has won an Award of Excellence at the 2011 Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards Gala. We were honoured for our work on the Chateh Water Treatment Plant in Chateh, Alberta. The Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards are presented jointly by the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (ACEC) and Canadian Consulting Engineer magazine.

The Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards are considered the highest form of recognition for the consulting engineering industry. “The awards showcase the important role of Canadian consulting engineering firms in every aspect of our lives,” says John Gamble, president of ACEC. “To win an Award of Excellence is considered a prestigious honour by the industry.”

Awards of Excellence were presented at the Ottawa Convention Centre in categories ranging from Buildings, Environment, Transportation, Water Resources and Project Management. ISL Engineering and Land Services won in the Project Management category.

ISL Engineering and Land Services Ltd. is an award-winning, full-service consulting firm dedicated to working with all levels of government and the private sector to deliver planning and design solutions for transportation, water, land and environmental projects. The Chateh Water Treatment Plant project is one of the first dual-membrane water treatment systems for First Nations in Canada. The new plant addresses the complexities of water treatment in a remote area, while creating an easy-to-operate system with lower lifecycle costs in an energy-efficient building.

The winners were selected by a panel of 12 experts organized by Canadian Consulting Engineer magazine.
