Having worked on some high-profile Edmonton projects such as the North and South LRT extensions, the Quarters district and the Walterdale Bridge replacement, ISL’s 3D Visualization team has really started to capture the attention of clients and the public.

ISL’s 3D Visualization team is pushing the boundaries of what the public expects to see from a consulting engineering firm, producing cutting-edge videos that give the viewer an insider’s glimpse into the visionary process that drives each project design.
Clients are beginning to sit up and take notice. For example, the City of Edmonton has made wide use of the videos produced by our amazing team, posting them on the City website to keep the public not only informed but also excited about progress on its large-scale infrastructure endeavours.
Brad Smid, Program Manager for the City of Edmonton LRT Design and Construction, has said, “ISL’s North LRT video set the standard for City capital projects as we continually see increasing demand for detailed and relevant information that can be shared with the public… The video has been a successful communication tool and has remained one of the top videos on www.edmonton.ca since it was posted over three years ago.”

The reach of ISL’s 3D team is multidisciplinary and extends throughout our client base across Western Canada—they have produced 3D animations for a major downtown streetscaping project in Rossland, BC; a massive new regional park in Lethbridge, AB; various highway interchanges and road upgrades in Alberta and British Columbia; and have generated detailed 3D renderings for water treatment plants in Alberta including Chateh, Driftpile, Thorsby, Drayton Valley and Zama City.
To support water treatment plant operation and maintenance, ISL’s 3D team has also developed cutting-edge, award-winning custom software called 3D Operations and Maintenance Information System (3DOM-IS), which allows operators to experience the plant through a first-person virtual perspective for staff training, knowledge transfer, plant maintenance and even enables remote technical support.
With innovations like these, it's no surprise that ISL's 3D Visualization team is starting to turn some heads.
