Parking Services
ISL’s Traffic Engineering team works closely with private developers, architects and municipalities to complete a variety of tasks from high level policy review to functional design for shared mixed-use parking facilities. Our group advises both public and private clients on parking requirements throughout a project, from the conceptual phase to implementation. We have experience collecting, coordinating and analyzing parking data and developing feasible and costeffective solutions tailored to our clients’ specific needs. To support the parking access arrangement and queuing analysis at entry/exit points, ISL staff have extensive experience using industry-standard transportation software including Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS 2000 and SIDRA. Additionally, our Project Team Leader, was a reviewer for the parking section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Traffic Engineering Handbook, 7th Edition.
Our project experience includes establishment of efficient and safe loading/unloading and pick-up/dropoff arrangements as well as an effective circulating system within the parking lots. ISL also introduced, designed and constructed the first back-in angle parking in the Lower Mainland (along Columbia Street, New Westminster)
