ISL Expands in the Columbia Valley

ISL’s longstanding work in the Columbia Valley now has a permanent home. After several years of successful project delivery, community collaboration, and on-the-ground support in the area, our team is proud to officially recognize Golden, British Columbia as ISL’s 16th office location.

Over the past several years, ISL has delivered a wide range of projects in the Golden region. This work demonstrates our sustained involvement in the community and our ability to provide integrated services that support local infrastructure, community facilities, and development needs.

Our projects include:

  • Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge Assessment and Rehabilitation, providing condition assessment, maintenance recommendations, and construction administration for a timber pedestrian bridge in downtown Golden.
  • Golden Firehall Feasibility Study, supporting the Town of Golden with structural condition assessment, feasibility study, concept design, and preliminary cost estimate to advance plans for a new fire hall.
  • Golden Museum CPR Station Structural Assessment, delivering a structural assessment and feasibility study for the historic CPR train station at the Golden Museum.
  • Rogers Pass Discovery Centre Rehabilitation, involving the evaluation, design, and rehabilitation of the existing mass timber structure and building envelope to address long standing performance issues and meet current building code requirements.
  • Highway 95 Corridor Improvements, providing general engineering services to support small scale design and geometric improvements along the provincial highway corridor in British Columbia.

This office reinforces our commitment to build meaningful relationships and serving the region with local knowledge and the full strength of ISL’s integrated, multidisciplinary expertise, backed by our offices throughout western Canada. The success we have shared with our clients also reflects the value of having staff who live and work in the region. We look forward to deepening our connections in Golden and continuing to deliver innovative solutions that support the community and surrounding area.
