Referred to as “the most famous astronaut since Neil Armstrong,” Colonel Chris Hadfield is a worldwide sensation whose video of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” — seen by over 75 million people — was called “possibly the most poignant version of the song ever created”, by Bowie himself. Acclaimed for making outer space accessible to millions, and for infusing a sense of wonder into our collective consciousness not felt since humanity first walked on the Moon, Hadfield continues to bring the marvels of science and space travel to everyone he encounters.
Brent Toderian
Brent Toderian is a nationally and internationally respected practitioner and thought-leader with over 25 years of experience in advanced urbanism, city planning and urban design.
Brent’s current consulting work with TUW is extremely diverse, including “out-of-the-box” change-making involving civic and organizational culture; improved community conversations & engagement; inspirational and educational speaking and workshops; teaching; writing; and creative media (social and mainstream).

Contest and Prizes
Show us what ISL Energy means to you by creating a virtual or physical background for the seminar. Backgrounds will be judged throughout the course of the seminar. Dress up as your favourite superhero or create your own after 5pm MST on Thursday. Take a screenshot or a selfie and post it to Twitter using the tag #ISLStaffDev or #ISLLife to submit to the judges. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

- Best Overall Physical Background
- Best Homemade Costume
- Most Creative Costume
- Best Overall Costume
Be On Time!
Be respectful of presenters – make sure to have your camera and microphones turned off. Ask questions in the chat box or as instructed by your presenters.
Video stream links in the schedule will not go live until right before the presentation. Clicking on it will open a browser window and give you the options on how you want to join the session. You can then open via your desktop/mobile apps or online Teams or Zoom.
Wonder.Me
For breaks we will open a browser-based meeting space: Wonder.me. When you click the link:
- You will be asked for your Name
- You will create an Avatar (it’s going to take a picture!)
- There will be a microphone/camera check
- You will be asked an Icebreaker question
Once in the space, left click and drag your picture (avatar) to move around from room to room. When you are ‘near’ someone, you connect, form a circle and can chat via microphone and camera (they will pop up at the top of the screen).
IMPORTANT: Don’t forget to close the wonder.me tab in your browser after the meeting to release your camera and microphone so it is available for your other apps.
