ISL's Municipal Team

works on a diverse range of projects in urban and rural municipal environments. We provide governments and private sectors with innovative and sustainable solutions for the treatment and distribution of municipal water, wastewater, and storm water. The team takes the lead on multi-disciplinary projects that include aspects of structural, mechanical, and landscape architecture designs. proudly tackles interesting urban and high-speed transportation projects within local municipalities and on provincial highways. Driven by a dedication to meeting client’s needs, ISL’s integrated team of transportation planning and design professionals apply their expertise to provide effective and innovative solutions to complex multi-modal transportation challenges with a focus on sustainability and environmental stewardship. ISL's Structural Team

designs and delivers safe, cost effective, structures that last. From heavy civil structural applications to legacy bridges and building enclosures, our engineering approach includes minimizing project footprints, using sustainable materials and consideration of community esthetics. Our team in British Columbia is directly involved in bridge and restoration projects including urban bridge rehabilitation, suspension bridge applications, and historical restorations. Designed and drafted infrastructure projects using Civil3D, AutoCAD and other design software

  • Participated in field inspections, construction administration, and potentially prepared contract documents
  • Coordinated third party permit applications and utility relocations
  • Gone for coffee and learned more about the other work we do internally
  • Prepared technical memorandums, designed reports, briefing materials and guidelines
  • Provided technical analysis to complete designs utilizing industry standards
  • Prepared quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and contract documents
  • Assisted with project management tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, proposal writing, and the coordination of design work and deliverables
  • Attended client and internal design meetings
  • Continuously developed your technical knowledge and skills
  • Collaborated and coordinated with in-house sub-disciplines and sub-consultants including but not limited to environmental services, geotechnical, electrical, and landscape architecture
  • Had lunch with the team and participated in an after work social event
