Ermineskin Building Assessments and Construction Administration

Facility assessments and rehabilitation planning supporting long-term community asset management.

Client: Ermineskin Tech Services & Capital Management

Location: Maskwacis, AB

Project Type: Buildings

About This Project

ISL is supporting Ermineskin Tech Services & Capital Management with an ongoing program of building assessments, rehabilitation planning, and construction administration for key community facilities in Maskwacis, Alberta. The work provides Ermineskin Tech Services with practical information to guide maintenance, capital planning, and long-term stewardship of its building assets.

As Prime Consultant, ISL has completed condition assessments, roofing evaluations, and facility reviews for four community facilities: the Public Works Building, Neyaskweyahk Memorial Alrena, Jim Rattlesnake Sports Building, and Ermineskin Elders’ Centre. Findings from the assessments have helped identify rehabilitation priorities and inform decisions around maintenance, repair, and replacement.

Following ISL’s assessment of the Public Works Building, Ermineskin Tech Services proceeded with the recommended roof replacement. ISL provided design documents, tender preparation, contract administration, field reporting, and contractor coordination through construction, along with a full system warranty and operations and maintenance package. The completed roof replacement provides the client with a new roof assembly that extends the building’s service life and supports its continued use as a public works facility.

Additional roof condition assessments were completed for the Ermineskin Elders’ Centre, Neyaskweyahk Memorial Arena, and Jim Rattlesnake Sports Building. The findings led to the recommended Elders’ Centre roof replacement and continued planning for remediation of the arena. ISL is also supporting further assessments and rehabilitation planning for the Jim Rattlesnake Sports Building.

Through ongoing collaboration with Ermineskin leadership and staff, ISL is helping establish practical priorities for maintaining safe, functional, and resilient community facilities while supporting long-term asset management and capital investment decisions.
