About This Project

10th Avenue through the Health Precinct is a vital corridor serving Vancouver General Hospital, the BC Cancer Agency, and other healthcare providers. This project enhances the bikeway network and improves public infrastructure, promoting safety, accessibility, and comfort for pedestrians, cyclists, and the overall community.

ISL provided design, inspection, and contract administration services for this complex corridor, addressing key objectives such as ensuring efficient emergency access, improving pedestrian comfort, extending a separated bike route, managing rainwater with green infrastructure, and preserving the mature tree canopy.

ISL also supported the City during community engagement sessions by preparing materials and offering technical input to address questions during meetings and presentations. By integrating community feedback, ISL delivered designs and construction plans that accommodated diverse user needs, minimized disruption, and upheld the essential functions of this critical health-focused corridor.
