Pedestrian Bridges
Beautiful and functional, pedestrian bridges are vital for community health: creating safe crossings and encouraging active lifestyles.
We help municipalities and clients manage, rehabilitate, and design pedestrian bridges to be distinctive structures. With budget and purpose at the forefront, we determine what elements of the structure can be reused and what new elements must be implemented to meet the goals of the project, while bringing the vision for the pedestrian bridge to life.
We have designed and rehabilitated a number of diverse pedestrian bridges across western Canada, ranging from the Sea to Sky Bridge which spans 86 meters across a ravine to the Kinsol Trestle Bridge rehabilitation where ISL was able to retain 60 per cent of its historic timber.
